Super Undies

Dear Connor,

I bought you new superhero-themed underwear and you are really excited about them. Like, really, really excited about them, because you keep taking off your pants to show them off to people. Today, you actually stripped your underwear off, ran downstairs to find your nanny and showed them to her by excitedly waving them in her face. Oh, dear.

Growing Up Too Fast

Dear Connor,

Today was the day your baby sister took her first steps. It was also the day that you told me that I no longer have to cut your chicken nuggets for you because you are a big boy. You both are growing up way too fast!

Dirty Talk

Dear Connor,

The other day, I asked you if you were touching your penis because you had to pee. You replied, "No, I'm touching my penis because my penis is so big."

Today, you were working on a wooden picture frame craft. It had a little wooden stick that you were supposed to push into a hole in the back of the frame to make the frame stand up. You couldn't do it, so you came up to me and Daddy and asked, "Can you put my stick in the hole?" And because we are immature like that, Daddy and I started cracking up.

The Birds and the Bees

Dear Connor,

So we had this conversation today:

You: Is Alex my daddy?
Me: Yes.
You: Why?
Me: Because he helped make you.
You: He helped make me? With what?
Me: Uhhh . . .

Mom

Anatomical Curiosity

Dear Connor,

Daddy lost his keys, so a locksmith came to our house today to change the locks. And while the locksmith was talking to Daddy, you chose that moment to go up to Daddy, ask him loudly, "Do you have a penis?" and try to pull down Daddy's shorts so that you could see for yourself. Oye.

Connor To The Rescue, Part II

Dear Connor,

When we came home from your school today, you asked me why I locked the front door after we came inside and I said it was to keep the bad guys out. Then you told me, "If the bad guys come, I'm going to shoot them and make them cry because I'm a superhero." I asked you what your superhero name is and you said matter-of-factly, "Connor Superhero." A reasonable choice.

Mom
